NFL ODDS - NFC Week 3 Power Poll

The NFL betting season has wrapped up two weeks of play, and NFL ODDS AND STATS takes time out to list what the hottest football gambling teams have been so far this season…

1: New Orleans Saints (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 1) Has this team REALLY scored 93 points in just two games this season? Not only are the Saints putting up an insane amount of points, but they’re really doing it without getting any real production from any of their “names” at running back. QB Drew Brees is on pace to throw for 5,352 yards and 72 touchdowns this season; I think that would be some sort of record.

Up Next: Away @ Bills (-6)

2: Atlanta Falcons (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 3) The Falcons probably pushed Carolina HC John Fox one step closer towards getting fired when they beat the Panthers 28-20 on Sunday afternoon. The Saints appear to be the only real challenge to this team this season. We’ll see how Atlanta fares on the road against a New England team due for a dominant performance.

Up Next: Away @ Patriots (+4)

3: San Francisco 49ers (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 4) Two up, two down for an upstart 49ers squad. Can they extend their lead in the NFC West this week? A victory against Minnesota would go a long way towards announcing their intent to make the playoffs under HC Mike Singletary.

Up Next: Away @ Vikings (+7)

4: Minnesota Vikings (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 8) Who is this guy wearing #4 in Minnesota and what did he do with Brett Favre? Favre has only thrown for 265 yards and three touchdowns this season, but most importantly, he hasn’t turned the ball over once and the Vikings are still undefeated.

Up Next: Home vs. 49ers (-7)

5: Philadelphia Eagles (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 2) The Eagles looked pretty awful on Sunday against the Saints, but they’ll get a pass considering QB Donovan McNabb didn’t play. QB Kevin Kolb may get the nod again this week if McNabb can’t go, but not only may he be playing to improve Philly’s playoff chances, he may also be playing for his job now that QBs Michael Vick and Jeff Garcia are on the 53-man roster.

Up Next: Home vs. Chiefs (OTB)

6: New York Giants (1-1 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 10) The G-Men stopped the Cowboys and their massive scoreboard from picking up a victory in the first regular season game played at brand spanking new Cowboys Stadium. WRs Mario Manningham and Steve Smith have both been great this season, as the duo has combined to haul in 29 passes for 422 yards and three scores.

Up Next: Away @ Buccaneers (-6.5)

7: Chicago Bears (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 11) It took grit, it took tenacity, and it took some luck down the stretch, but the Bears made a huge statement by beating the Steelers outright on Sunday afternoon as short underdogs. The defense looked good against the champs, but there’s still a big question about how Chicago plans on replacing LB Brian Urlacher; though Hunter Hillenmeyer has filled in admirably thus far.

Up Next: Away @ Seahawks (-1)

8: Seattle Seahawks (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 5) For as good as Seattle looked in Week 1, it looked that bad in Week 2. A bad two touchdown loss to San Francisco was made worse when QB Matt Hasselbeck left the game injured, and as Seahawks bettors proved last year, if he isn’t the one taking snaps, this team is putred.

Up Next: Home vs. Bears (+1)

And the rest…

9: Dallas Cowboys (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 6)

10: Green Bay Packers (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 7)

11: Washington Redskins (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 9)

12: Arizona Cardinals (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 14)

13: St. Louis Rams (1-1 ATS, 0-2 SU) (LW: 15)

14: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-2 ATS, 0-2 SU) (LW: 12)

15: Detroit Lions (0-2 ATS, 0-2 ATS) (LW: 13)

16: Carolina Panthers (0-2 ATS, 0-2 SU) (LW: 16)

NFL ODDS - Week 3 AFC Power Poll

Two weeks of NFL betting is in the books, and NFL ODDS AND STATS has everything you need to know about how the teams stack up for NFL bettors in the AFC…

1: New York Jets (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 1) It may only be two weeks into the NFL betting season, but let’s face this fact. If the season stopped today, HC Rex Ryan would be Coach of the Year and QB Mark Sanchez would be Rookie of the Year, and both would win their awards unanimously. After beating the mighty Patriots last week, it’s pretty clear the Jets are now the hunted, not the hunter.

Up Next: Home vs. Titans (-1)

2: Baltimore Ravens (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 2) Baltimore took advantage of a lot of injuries to the Chargers to score a 31-26 victory and seize a one-game lead in the AFC North standings. Still, it’s hard to imagine that this team is going to be able to score 30+ points every week. It’s equally hard to picture the Ravens giving up 20+ points per week as well.

Up Next: Home vs. Browns (-13)

3: Buffalo Bills (2-0 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 3) Is Buffalo for real this season? After nearly shocking New England in Week 1 and beating the snot out of the Bucs in Week 2, it’s very possible that this no-huddle offense of HC Dick Jauron’s is going to work. Expect to see plenty of points fly onto the board this week.

Up Next: Home vs. Saints (+6)

4: Denver Broncos (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) The Broncos may be the worst 2-0 team in the NFL, but considering how bad their division is, they may be able to string together enough victories to make the playoffs. Denver very well could be 4-0 heading into its showdown with New England in three weeks.

Up Next: Away @ Raiders (-1)

5: Oakland Raiders (2-0 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 7) They may have picked up less than half the yardage of the Chiefs, but the Raiders found a way to eke out a 13-10 victory last Sunday at Arrowhead. Believe it or not, a win this week would put the Raiders in a tie for *gasp!* first place in the division!

Up Next: Home vs. Broncos (+1)

6: Indianapolis Colts (1-1 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 9) It wasn’t pretty, but the Colts found a way to notch a 27-23 win in Miami on Monday night in spite of the fact that they were absolutely dominated in time of possession. QB Peyton Manning isn’t showing signs of missing WR Marvin Harrison, as he is leading the #3 ranked passing attack in the NFL at 294.5 yards per game.

Up Next: Away @ Cardinals (+1)

7: Cincinnati Bengals (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 11) Two weeks ago, the Bengals crushed a lot of people in survivor pools by losing at home to Denver. Last week, they knocked even more people out by beating the Packers outright at Lambeau Field as nine-point underdogs. The defending champs come to town this week, and inevitably, some people will make the Steelers their pick to survive in Week 3.

Up Next: Home vs. Steelers (+4)

8: Tennessee Titans (1-1 ATS, 0-2 SU) (LW: 5) It may be time to panic in Tennessee. Losing on the road in Pittsburgh was acceptable Week 1. Losing at home to Houston in Week 2 was not. One look at this schedule down the road suggests that the Titans are in a world of hurt. Their next ten games? @ the Jets, @ Jacksonville, Indy, @ New England, Jacksonville, @ San Fran, Buffalo, @ Houston, Arizona, and @ Indy. Ouch.

Up Next: Away @ Jets (+1)

And the rest…

9: Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1 ATS, 0-2 SU) (LW: 6)

10: Houston Texans (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 16)

11: Pittsburgh Steelers (0-2 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 8)

12: Kansas City Chiefs (0-2 ATS, 0-2 SU) (LW: 10)

13: Miami Dolphins (0-2 ATS, 0-2 SU) (LW: 13)

14: San Diego Chargers (0-2 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 12)

15: New England Patriots (0-2 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 14)

16: Cleveland Browns (0-2 ATS, 0-2 SU) (LW: 15)
